SMS Backup &amp; Restore is a useful app that allows users to back up and restore SMS, MMS messages, and call logs on their phone. It provides an easy way to create copies of important data for peace of mind.

It's worth noting that in order to restore call logs and messages, this app requires existing backups. Without existing backups, it cannot recover any data.

Some important notes:

<li>The app has been tested on Android 5.0 and higher.</li>
<li>It can only restore backups made by this specific app.</li>
<li>By default, backups are created locally on the phone, but there are options to upload them to Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or through email. Rest assured that files are never sent to the developer.</li>
<li>Before performing a factory reset on your phone, ensure that there is a copy of the backup stored outside of the device.</li>

To function properly, the app requires access to certain permissions:

<li>Your messages: This is necessary for backing up and restoring messages. The Receive SMS permission is needed to handle incoming messages when the app is set as the default messaging app.</li>
<li>Your calls and contact information: Allows for the backup and restore of call logs.</li>

<li>Network view and communication: Enables the app to connect to WiFi for backup purposes.</li>
